Originally from Bolivia, South America, Maria Miller has lived in the U.S. since age 10. After moving to Hawaii in 1976, Maria obtained her real estate license there in 1978. Over the past 30+ years in real estate, Maria has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge and experience, making her one of the top 10% of REALTORS in Hawaii for unit productivity.
Never ready to settle, Maria has continued to educate herself in real estate maters, and earned her Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, placing her among the top 5% of real estate agents in the U.S. Her other real estate designations include Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NCP), and ePro, the only internet designation recognized by the National Association of Realtors. Maria received her Broker’s designation in Hawaii in 2003, and repeated the accomplishment in Guam nearly in 2006. Outside of real estate, she has garnered a two year degree in business from Jones College in Jacksonville, Florida, and has taken numerous banking and appraisal classes. She is currently working to obtain her Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) real estate designations.
Maria is the President and Principal Broker of Horizon Properties, Inc. and since 2007 the Horizon team has had the pleasure of assisting, both local and off-island, investors to purchase over 260 real estate units in Guam that we are proud and happy to manage on a day to day basis.
When not busy working for her clients, Maria enjoys visiting with her four grandchildren in Ohio, volunteering in the music and drama department at her church, and involves herself in community initiatives as well as in different Boards of the Guam Association of Realtors and several Associations of Homeowners.

Aiza came to Horizon Properties in 2007 and has since obtained her Real Estate Sales License and is working towards her CPM certification. Aiza is invaluable to Horizon Properties – she wears many hats here at Horizon and can take a sale transaction through from writing a contract to closing. Her role as Property Owner Relations Manager entails keeping the line of communication open with owners so they stay informed as to the status and / or issues with their properties, as well as insuring that the accounting involved with processing the payment to owners for rental proceeds is accurate and timely.
Away from the job, Aiza likes serving the community with her family (visiting homeless shelters and the elderly). She loves reading and has an immense thirst for knowledge.

Peter is a local resident originally from the village of Umatac. He joined the Horizon team in November of 2008 as a property manager with prior experience and has filled the position quite suitably as our "jack of all trades". Peter is a highly motivated individual who is driven by the love and support of his family. He is outspoken, open-minded, and funny but can also display his serious side when it comes down to dealing with business. Above his many attributes, Peter is mostly noticeably a hard worker who does not allow obstacles to stand in his way of accomplishments.

Ashley Watanabe
Tenant Relations Specialist
Born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Ashley came to Guam in 2006. Her excellent people skills learned through her ventures prior to starting with Horizon Properties in June of 2011 enable her to perform the tasks vital to her role as a tenant relations specialist.
In her time away from work, Ashley enjoys coaching volleyball for the St. John’s Knights Girls middle school and high school (and one year with the Lions of St. Thomas Aquinas), and running volleyball camps. She also plays Beach Volleyball and hopes to one day open up a recruiting business for high school kids who aspire to play sports in college.

Wilma Denena
Tenant Relations Specialist
Born and raised on Guam, Wilma comes to Horizon Properties with experience that makes her role as a tenant relation specialist seem like second nature. She has the smile and personality that lets the tenants know she is there to assist them whether it be accepting a payment, preparing a lease, or taking a trouble call for a work order, she lets the tenants know that their needs are important.
In her time away from work, Wilma enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Debbie Sharp
Accounting Manager
Originally from Texas, Debbie relocated to Guam from Northern Virginia, where after receiving her project management certification she worked as a Controller and Project Manager for an 8(a) General Contractor, dealing primarily with Federal Contracts. She has a wealth of experience in accounting and office management. This knowledge and experience make Debbie wonderfully suited to take care of Horizon’s accounting as well as provide input on the various projects involved with managing and maintaining properties.
When not working, Debbie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
